YRP Operations Update — May 2026

I’m delighted to share our latest Operations Update as COO of Young Rail Professionals for 2026/27.

April and May have been brilliant months across the network — from the East Midlands “Be Enspired” sessions with Enspired Consulting, to a YRP Western social, a joint tech talk with the IRSE Scotland, and a Railway Trivia pub quiz in London & the South East.

The West Midlands Committee rightfully takes Committee of the Month honours for April, capped by a fantastic social at Albert Schloss. Real kudos to Chair Alexandru Smith, Vice Chair Georgia Haslam, and the entire West Midlands committee for their hard work.

Looking ahead, we have some great events coming up in June — including the YRP Scotland Heritage Event at the Bo’ness & Kinneil Railway, a Cymru / Wales Summer Ramble social, and plenty more besides.
